Alexis is a mom and an attorney balancing work, kids and homework. She often is frustrated helping her 6th grader with his homework and jumped at the chance to help Homework Unlocked because of her own experiences trying to figure out “new” math. Alexis has been in and out of start-ups over the past four years, assisting with early stage strategy, logistics and corporate governance. She provides legal advice in a general counsel capacity overseeing management of key issues such as contracts, intellectual property, privacy and ecommerce.

Alexis graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, Boalt School of Law. She began her legal career at Morrison & Foerster and most recently worked at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton before starting her own law practice.

Quintessential Alexis: Busy, busy, busy and (according to my kids) bossy and annoying.
Needed Homework Help With: Math, all of the Math. Especially Bar Modelling homework from my son’s Year 6 Teacher.
Favorite trips: Any trip to Italy.
Believes that: The key to academic success is a strong love of learning which comes from a great teacher and from having success in school.
Listens to: Awful teeny-bopper music too embarrassing to list.
Would like to: Be told by my 11 year old that I helped him understand his math without yelling.
Guilty Pleasure: Staying up late watching bad t.v. with a good glass of wine.
